How it Works

The NWSC Process begins with garments being checked in, installing tracking media and a Pre inspection to determine its ability to return to service, including a Hydro Static test of the moisture barrier.

Mechanical washing and Hand spotting are part of the normal cleaning process to remove soils and carcinogens from the inner fibers of the garment. Our processes are safe on all Aramid Fabrics.

Kevlar, Nomex, PBI, as well as WL Gore’s CROSSTECH & RT7100.  ALSO Stedair’s 4000, 3000 & 2000 Moisture Barriers, FR Cotton, Nylon, Teflon and Neoprene.

Additional decontamination is available for heavy Petrol & Body fluids including Blood born Pathogens ect.

After the cleaning Process garments are Hang Dried for Less stress to the fibers of your very expensive garments. While garments are still damp a Soil/Water repellant will be applied. This whole process meets or exceeds NFPA compliance and Manufacturers Requirements.

Repairs are consistent because they are recorded by the repair person via touch screen monitors with over 850 possible combinations of repairs and alterations for monitoring & reporting.

Our media is a 2 dimensional bar Code label that includes Alpha Numerics for Serial number, date inspected, Department name, Fire Fighter’s name, size, manufacturer, and more. We track all cleaning and repairs cradle to grave, and then some.

On line reporting includes Receiving times and dispatch & shipping (Return to Service) dates.  Our touch screen repairs give the ability for reports that help pinpoint problem areas requiring excessive repairs. This will help you in planning new garment Specs for your Department.

Turn-around time is 1 week guaranteed when pre arranged. And 1 week most the time even when it’s not scheduled.
